Use subscriptions for awareness
- Use subscriptions when someone wants to stay informed.
- Use subscriptions for service owners, managers, and partner teams who should see incident movement.
- Use subscriptions when the target is a system, function, or tag and the person is not part of the live page chain.
Use escalation policy for paging
- Use user escalation policy when the person is an on-call responder.
- Use escalation policy when delay order matters.
- Use escalation policy when the workspace needs guaranteed delivery attempts instead of passive notification.
