Guide
Publish to Statuspage
Push incident updates to the customer-facing pages that should reflect current impact.
Before you start
- Know whether the update is internal only or should be customer-facing.
- Decide which Statuspage pages should receive the incident.
Do this
- Open the incident command center and go to
Status Pages. - Select
Post Update. - Write the update you want readers to see.
- Leave the update internal only, or enable external publishing if it should go to Statuspage.
- Select the external pages that should receive the incident if more than one page is available.
- Publish the update and confirm the linked external incident state.
- Repeat from the same incident as the event moves from investigating to monitoring and then to resolved.
Check it worked
- The update is visible from the incident record.
- The expected Statuspage pages show an attached external incident.
- The page attachment state is easy to verify from
Status Pages.
If it does not work
- If no external page is available, finish the Statuspage setup in integrations first.
- If the wrong page is attached, remove it before you publish the next update.
- If public copy feels too detailed, shorten it and keep internal detail in the incident timeline instead.
